Gateway has been pretty reliable save for a few moments when laundry machines, power, and WiFi have cut when I needed to use them. Other than that, the building itself feels secure even if the neighborhood is slightly sketchy, and the prices are still pretty alright for the area. ...

University Gateway is a good off campus option... but not the best. If you can live in the village do it. If you can afford to live somewhere else do it. One thing is the fire alarm that thing is always going off for literally no reason. At least one elevator is always broken. The staff is horrible. Safety is a joke one of the managers boyfriends broke into a female apartment and of course the staff didn't do anything because they were related to the staff! Covid policies were a joke there were parties all of the time. The pool is shin deep not a pool at all it's just a big fountain. If I could afford to live anywhere else I would have I got a good rate and that's why I stayed. ...

While some pieces and appliances of the apartment unit are not fully operational (missing wheel on dishwasher, one of the stove burners doesn't work, etc), the apartment complex itself is very secure and offers a great location with access to campus and easy access to greater LA. Amenities are mostly closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic currently, but even without the amenities, it is worth living here. Acceptable price for the location and a community of encouragement. ...

University Gateway is a great apartment building to meet other people from USC. The proximity to USC is very much appreciated. The price for Gateway is very expensive though and the apartment came with a broken toilet, microwave, stove, and mold in our showers so we didn't think we got an apartment with simple standards that met the price. We do believe that if maintenance came in fixed this either the first or second day we totally understand, but maintenance never came and we are still living here. The service and staff though are super sweet and are very understanding. The amenities here are also really nice: the courtyard is beautiful, their fitness center is top notch, and they host many activities for their residents like movie night and free food so they make everyone feel included. ...

Terrible cell phone reception from within the interior apartments. Gateway says they will not be able to fix the problem. They suggested we can use a landline phone. Internet service poor. Bikes get stolen. Very poor at customer service. I rented from summer 10 through summer 11. ...
