interns Meet our interns

College Media Network interns are given a very unique opportunity to help develop and improve the College Publisher system. Rather than menial tasks like coffee runs and sorting files, CMN interns get to interact directly with the CP support and development teams, giving them an opportunity to influence the finished product. It doesn't take a CP veteran to become an intern with College Media Network either, just a great work ethic and the dedication to help continue to improve our product.

Colin Darland     Editor in Chief, Arizona Daily Wildcat

Colin Darland

Colin Darland was born and raised in Phoenix, Ariz., and is currently the editor in chief for the Arizona Daily Wildcat. During the past two years, Colin has served as photographer, photo editor, web director and now editor in chief for the Daily Wildcat, giving him a unique perspective on the news cycle and production process. Colin is a junior majoring in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis on journalism, economics and communication. His focus at the Wildcat has always been on new media integration. Putting an emphasis on a web-first workflow, he is constantly working toward the goal of reshaping the news production process from the bottom up. His philosophy on the news industry is that it is not dying, but rather transforming to suit the changing media landscape. Only through a true utilization of the Internet's many resources does he see the news industry growing again. Colin also enjoys puppies and long walks on the beach. If he isn't in the newsroom you can probably catch him watching the sun set over the Santa Catalina Mountains outside Tucson, Ariz.
